Concept of our Medicine
What is the true form of healthcare that is needed for patients requiring long-term medical care? On April 17, 2023, the Ageo Heart Clinic was opened in Kasuga 1-chome, Ageo City.
We established this clinic with the aim of protecting the health of the residents of Ageo City and the surrounding areas, detecting illnesses early, and contributing to their treatment.
As a result, this clinic is equipped with advanced medical equipment that goes beyond the scope of a regular clinic.
However, even with excellent medical facilities, the most crucial aspect of healthcare is the quality of the medical staff who operate them.
We, healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, pharmacists, radiological technologists, clinical laboratory technicians, and administrative staff), dedicate ourselves to daily training and aim to improve our knowledge and medical skills.
We also aspire to grow into a medical institution that is trusted by everyone, both in reputation and reality, by cultivating kindness and humanity to console those suffering from illnesses.
Our goal is to be a clinic where patients can feel free to consult us about their medical concerns.
Characteristics of the Clinic
Our clinic is enveloped in a warm and inviting space.
The waiting room, examination room, and consultation room have all been designed and constructed with the intention of providing a calming atmosphere for our patients.
The walls, floors, and ceilings are adorned with stone and tiles, and the building’s interior and exterior are adorned with lush greenery.
Alongside gentle indirect lighting, this creates a dimension that soothes the eyes.
We have spared no effort to create a relaxing environment that allows patients to spend their time,
undergo examinations, and receive consultations, focusing on the essentials while eliminating excess.
This, we believe, is our fundamental approach to caring for those who are unwell.
One of the primary features of our clinic is the integration of internal medicine and dentistry.
Particularly, the elderly often face issues related to diminished appetite and malnutrition due to dental problems, which can lead to swallowing difficulties and aspiration pneumonia.
Through the collaboration of internal medicine and dentistry, we aspire to provide interdisciplinary care.
Another distinctive feature is our well-equipped diagnostic facilities.
In particular, our Canon 320-slice CT scanner is the world’s fastest and most advanced piece of equipment.
It minimizes radiation exposure, allows for quick imaging, and offers a level of precision that surpasses traditional CT scanners.
It provides images of coronary arteries comparable to coronary angiography performed through catheterization.
It is highly regarded for its noninvasiveness, simplicity, and safety.
This CT scanner is applicable not only to coronary arteries but also to the entire body, contributing to the early detection of conditions such as lung, liver, and kidney cancers.
Similarly, our Siemens MRI is effective in diagnosing brain disorders, Alzheimer’s-type dementia, spinal cord disorders, and especially for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, uterine cancer, and ovarian cancer.
The MRA (magnetic resonance angiography) that visualizes the body’s arteries is useful in diagnosing conditions like strokes, cerebral hemorrhages, cerebral aneurysms, aortic aneurysms, and peripheral arterial occlusive disease.
Our GE DEXA (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) bone density measurement device accurately measures bone density in the lumbar spine and the femoral neck, providing valuable diagnostics and follow-up for osteoporosis treatment.
Furthermore, we have introduced Canon’s top-of-theline ultrasound diagnostic equipment, which is effective for diagnosing thyroid, heart, abdominal organs, neck arteries, aorta, and diseases of the lower limb arteries and veins.
These diagnostic results can be processed electronically to a high degree using the LOOKREC cloudbased image diagnostic processing system.
They can be reproduced not only on the clinic’s computers but also on laptops for home use, allowing patients to view their diagnostic images from the comfort of their own homes.
Our medical system is designed to process medical records and diagnostic data electronically, ensuring the utmost confidentiality and security through our clinic’s internet system.
History of Ageo Heart Clinic
On April 17, 2023, the Ageo Heart Clinic was born as the second medical facility of the medical corporation Shoubikai.
To introduce the history of this clinic, we must first mention its sibling clinic, the Nishimura Heart Clinic.
The Nishimura Heart Clinic’s origins trace back to February 1, 2007, when Dr. Masao Nishimura, who was then serving as the Deputy Director of Ageo Central General Hospital, retired at the age of mandatory retirement.
At that time, he took over the care of 60 home care patients from the hospital and established the first home care support clinic in Ageo. During his tenure at the Ageo Central General Hospital, Dr. Nishimura provided home care for patients who found it difficult to visit the hospital due to cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure.
However, on April 1, 2006, the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare revised medical law, creating a new category for home care support clinics as the third type of medical institution after hospitals and clinics.
Since then, the Nishimura Heart Clinic has slowly grown with the trust and support of the local community.
Initially focused on home care, due to requests from various quarters, it expanded to include outpatient care and dental services.
Ultimately, an internal medicine clinic was established in Room 202 of City Tower Ageo Ekimae, in front of the JR Ageo Station East Exit, and a dental clinic in Room 204.
Around the same time, to incorporate the clinic into a medical corporation, the Shoubikai was established to strengthen its foundation.
After its transformation, the Nishimura Heart Clinic experienced rapid development.
In April 2016, a medical-focused facility called Heart Village Ageo Asamadai (with a capacity of 66 residents), designed for elderly service housing, was established.
This prompted an increase in the number of outpatients, home care patients, and staff, but the clinic’s space couldn’t accommodate the growth.
We faced a decision: to relocate or establish a second clinic.
In such circumstances, we were fortunate to find a 2,310 square meters plot of land in Kasuga, Ageo.
Over the course of four years, we carefully considered the kind of clinic we wanted to create.
Today, our envisioned medical and dental clinic has come to fruition.
We pledge to provide even more comprehensive medical, nursing, and care services to the citizens of Ageo and the surrounding community.

What is the true form of healthcare that is needed for patients requiring long-term medical care?
We believe that being enveloped in the love of one’s family and receiving care in the familiar surroundings of one’s own home brings true comfort and purpose to the lives of patients.
Under the belief that “home medical care is in-home hospitalization,” we provide comprehensive medical care in home medical care settings that is no different from regular inpatient care.
Our concept of medical care is centered on the idea that the hearts of doctors and patients connect in the process.
With this philosophy in mind, we are here to assist in safeguarding the health and lives of patients around the clock, 24 hours a day.
